The Connolly Condos is a new high-end condominium development in Hamilton, ON. It’s located at 98 James Street South and is set to be completed in 2022. It combines classic elements from the James Street Baptist Church facade with contemporary architectural design to offer residents a unique living experience.
The building’s two-story entrance features exquisite wood accents and sophisticated porcelain. A rose window is 30 feet tall, adding a sense of wealth and grandeur to the project. It is the most popular element of The Connolly, and its visual appeal helps to improve the project’s overall aesthetic.
It was once home to the James Street Baptist Church, but the church’s tower and roof were razed in 2014 by Louie Santaguida of Stanton Renaissance to make way for the new 30-storey condominium tower. Heritage advocates fought the move, but it was too late to save the structure.
The location is also great for students, as it’s close to McMaster University and Mohawk College. GO Transit services at the nearby Hamilton Centre station are also within walking distance. Highways 403 and the QEW are both easily accessible from The Connolly, allowing motorists to travel throughout the GTHA and seamlessly connect to other major roadways in Southwestern Ontario.
