The pre-construction condo is a short three-minute walk from the planned Leaside LRT Station, making it an excellent investment opportunity.
Leaside is a family-friendly neighbourhood with superb urban amenities, employment and transit options. This area has a high 86 out of 100 on its Walk Score, meaning that residents can easily access many local restaurants, services, schools and shopping establishments on foot. Moreover, the plaza across the street from this development features a Metro, Rexall, Shoppers Drug Mart and Whole Foods, among other stores.
That being said, the proposal for a 25-storey mixed-use tower on this site seems to be out of sync with its surroundings. The current homes in this area are mostly two-storey detached and semi-detached, with a handful of mid-rise apartment buildings and condos. The proposed tower would be much taller than most of these surrounding properties, and it’s clear that many residents are not happy about this proposal.
